Recording best practices: pause, resume, and upload

Overview

Using Tinrec’s pause, resume, and import features helps keep recordings cleaner, transcripts more accurate, and existing audio easier to organize.

Steps

1. Pause: During recording, tap Pause recording—useful for breaks or segments you don’t need, so noise does not enter the transcript.
2. Resume: When ready, tap Resume recording; the system continues the same record.
3. Upload / Import: Upload existing audio or video via Import (supports MP3, WAV, M4A, MP4, and more). Tap Start transcription and processing runs automatically.
4. Stop and save: When finished, tap Stop recording and confirm; the system automatically generates a meeting summary and to-dos.

Tips / FAQ

• Pause saves time: Pausing unnecessary segments shortens later cleanup and can reduce transcription allowance use.
• Upload allowance: Free plan: 5 imports per month, 30 minutes of transcript per import. For long files, use the App or upgrade your plan.
