Using TinrecRecord & transcribe
Recording best practices: pause, resume, and upload
Practical tips for pausing, resuming Tinrec recordings and importing files
Overview
Using Tinrec’s pause, resume, and import features helps keep recordings cleaner, transcripts more accurate, and existing audio easier to organize.
Steps
- Pause: During recording, tap Pause recording—useful for breaks or segments you don’t need, so noise does not enter the transcript.
- Resume: When ready, tap Resume recording; the system continues the same record.
- Upload / Import: Upload existing audio or video via Import (supports MP3, WAV, M4A, MP4, and more). Tap Start transcription and processing runs automatically.
- Stop and save: When finished, tap Stop recording and confirm; the system automatically generates a meeting summary and to-dos.
Tips / FAQ
- Pause saves time: Pausing unnecessary segments shortens later cleanup and can reduce transcription allowance use.
- Upload allowance: Free plan: 5 imports per month, 30 minutes of transcript per import. For long files, use the App or upgrade your plan.
