How long does Tinrec transcription take? Learn about processing time and factors that affect it
Overview
Most Tinrec recordings finish transcription shortly after you stop. Actual processing time depends on audio length, source, and current queue status.
Steps
- Live recording: transcribe while recording; the transcript appears with speech in real time.
- Uploaded audio or web video: after you tap Start transcription, watch the upload progress window: Uploading / Creating task / Done.
- When processing finishes, the system automatically generates a transcript, AI summary, and to-dos.
Tips / FAQ
- Allowance impact: Free plan: 30 minutes of transcript per import, 5 imports per month (30 minutes each), 5 web videos per month. Exceeding allowance may require queuing—consider upgrading or buying more time.
- Slower processing: Longer audio and more concurrent tasks take more time. Wait a bit or refresh the page to check progress.
