Record an online meeting

Use Tinrec to record Zoom, Meet, Teams, Webex, and other online meetings with live transcription

Overview

Tinrec can record online meetings, webinars, and virtual events, and generate a live transcript and meeting summary while the meeting is in progress.

Steps

  1. Open Tinrec on Mac desktop (macOS 12 or later) and tap Start recording.
  2. Choose to record System audio to capture sound from Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex, and similar meeting apps.
  3. During the meeting, the live transcript appears with speech; you can Add marker for decision points.
  4. When the meeting ends, stop recording; the system automatically generates a meeting summary, chapters, and to-dos.

Tips / FAQ

  • Platform choice: Mac desktop can record meeting app system audio. Without the desktop app, you can also record the meeting then transcribe via Web video or Import.
  • Audio issues: If you cannot hear meeting audio, see audio capture troubleshooting and confirm the audio input source is set correctly.
