Use Tinrec live speech-to-text to generate a transcript while you record
Overview
Tinrec’s real-time transcription lets you transcribe while recording—start speaking to record and see the transcript live. It works for meetings, classes, interviews, and call recording.
Steps
- Go to the Record page and tap Start recording (first use requires microphone permission).
- The live transcript appears with speech; during recording you can tap Add marker for key points.
- You can Pause recording / Resume recording / Stop recording at any time; after stopping, confirm to save.
- When recording stops, the system automatically generates a meeting summary and to-dos.
Tips / FAQ
- Related capabilities: Real-time transcription also supports live translation, live captions, in-app audio capture on mobile, adjustable transcript font size, and bilingual side-by-side display.
- Platform differences: Mac desktop can record system audio from Zoom, Meet, Teams, Webex, and similar apps. Web has a per-session recording limit—use the App for long recordings.
