Steps to troubleshoot when Tinrec cannot capture audio or recording fails

Overview

When Tinrec cannot capture audio or a recording has no sound, it is usually a microphone permission or device settings issue. Follow the steps below.

Steps

  1. Confirm you tapped Start recording and allowed the browser or App to use the microphone.
  2. Check system and browser microphone permissions: confirm Tinrec is allowed to use the microphone.
  3. Confirm no other app (such as a video meeting app) is using the microphone.
  4. If you use the Mac desktop app to record online meeting system audio, confirm the correct audio input source is selected.
  5. Try refreshing the page or switching microphone/device, then record again.

  • Still no sound: Contact support at official@tinrec.com and include device and browser information.
