Troubleshoot audio recording issues

Common causes and fixes when Tinrec recording does not work as expected

Overview

If Tinrec has no audio, cuts in and out, or fails to start recording, try the troubleshooting steps below.

Steps

  1. Confirm Tinrec has microphone permission (check browser or system settings).
  2. Make sure no other app is using the microphone, and select the correct audio input device.
  3. For online meeting recording on the Mac desktop app, choose System audio as the input source.
  4. Refresh the page, restart the app, or try a different microphone/device.
  5. If the issue continues, contact support at official@tinrec.com and include your device and system details.

Tips / FAQ

  • Web limits: Web has a per-session recording limit. For long recordings, use the app.
  • Permission reset: If you previously denied microphone access, re-enable it in browser or system settings.
