Speech transcription accuracy

Tinrec transcription accuracy is about 98–99%; learn what affects it

Overview

Tinrec real-time transcription accuracy is about 98–99%. Actual accuracy depends on recording environment, microphone quality, language, and proper nouns.

Steps

  1. Record in a quiet place and keep the microphone close to the speaker.
  2. Go to Personal settingsHotword management and add proper nouns and names to improve recognition.
  3. If the language is fixed, switch to that language manually (the system defaults to auto-detect).
  4. After transcription finishes, use Search and replace on the detail page Transcript tab to fix typos.

Tips / FAQ

  • Why occasional typos: Background noise, accents, proper nouns, or people talking over each other can affect results. Use hotwords and markers to help correct them.
  • Accuracy numbers: The official website states real-time transcription accuracy up to 99% and transcript accuracy up to 98%. Help docs use “about 98–99%” consistently.
