Tips to improve transcription accuracy

Overview

Tinrec real-time transcription accuracy is about 98–99%. With the right recording environment and hotword settings, you can further improve transcript accuracy.

Steps

1. Record in a quiet place and avoid placing the microphone too far from the speaker.
2. Go to Personal settings → Hotword management and add frequently used proper nouns and names.
3. Set one vocabulary list as Default so AI prioritizes it for each recording (only one vocabulary list per recording).
4. In multi-person meetings, ask each participant to speak in turn to help the system separate speakers.
5. After transcription finishes, use Search and replace on the detail page Transcript tab to fix typos in one pass.

Tips / FAQ

• Hotword limits: Free users up to 10 hotwords; paid users up to 100. Each entry is limited to 20 characters (Chinese counts as 2 characters per character).
• Language switch: The system defaults to Auto-detect. If your main language is fixed, switch to that language manually for better accuracy.
