Turn off meeting recording prompt messages

Disable Tinrec recording prompts during meetings

Overview

During meeting recording, Tinrec may show prompt messages (for example marking “Recording” in chat or the UI) so participants know recording is in progress. If you want fewer of these prompts, adjust the related settings.

Steps

  1. Open Tinrec and go to Personal settings → Meeting recording settings or notification-related settings.
  2. Find Meeting recording prompt messages or a similar switch and turn it off.
  3. After you turn it off, related prompts no longer appear during recording. Recording and transcription continue as usual.

Tips / FAQ

Q: Does turning off prompts affect recording?

A: No. Prompts are for notification only. Recording and transcription still work after you turn them off.

Q: Can participants still see “Recording”?

A: If the indicator comes from the meeting app (not Tinrec), adjust it in that meeting app.
