Manually record a meeting

Manually start recording a single meeting in Tinrec

Overview

When you do not want automatic recording, or you only need to record a specific meeting, you can start recording manually in Tinrec. The Mac desktop app can capture system audio from Zoom / Google Meet / Microsoft Teams / Webex and more with live transcription.

Steps

  1. Open the target online meeting (Zoom / Meet / Teams / Webex, and more) and confirm device volume is outputting normally.
  2. Open the Tinrec Mac desktop app (macOS 12 or later) and click Start recording.
  3. Choose to record System audio (including meeting app audio). Tinrec starts live transcription.
  4. During the meeting, you can Add marker for key points, or pause / resume recording.
  5. When the meeting ends, click Stop recording, confirm to save, and generate meeting notes and to-dos automatically.
