Manually record a meeting
Manually start recording a single meeting in Tinrec
Overview
When you do not want automatic recording, or you only need to record a specific meeting, you can start recording manually in Tinrec. The Mac desktop app can capture system audio from Zoom / Google Meet / Microsoft Teams / Webex and more with live transcription.
Steps
- Open the target online meeting (Zoom / Meet / Teams / Webex, and more) and confirm device volume is outputting normally.
- Open the Tinrec Mac desktop app (macOS 12 or later) and click Start recording.
- Choose to record System audio (including meeting app audio). Tinrec starts live transcription.
- During the meeting, you can Add marker for key points, or pause / resume recording.
- When the meeting ends, click Stop recording, confirm to save, and generate meeting notes and to-dos automatically.
Tips / FAQ
Q: Can I record manually on the web?
A: Yes, but web recordings have a per-session limit (Free: 30 minutes per session; Pro: 5 hours). For longer meetings, use the desktop app or mobile app.
Q: Windows version?
A: The Windows version is currently coming soon.
