Set up automatic Zoom meeting recording

Have Tinrec start recording and transcribing automatically when a Zoom meeting begins

Overview

Zoom is a common recording target for Tinrec. With the Mac desktop app, you can set Tinrec to start capturing system audio with live transcription during a Zoom meeting, then automatically produce meeting notes and to-dos afterward.

Steps

  1. Install and sign in to the Tinrec Mac desktop app (macOS 12 or later) and grant system audio recording permission.
  2. Go to Meeting recording settings, turn on automatic recording, and include Zoom in the automatic recording meeting-app scope.
  3. Start a Zoom meeting. Tinrec starts recording with live transcription automatically.
  4. When the meeting ends, stop recording. Notes and speaker summaries are generated automatically.

Note: Tinrec records by capturing Zoom system audio—it does not join the meeting as a meeting bot. Exact auto-trigger conditions follow in-app settings and the official site.
