Set up automatic Zoom meeting recording
Have Tinrec start recording and transcribing automatically when a Zoom meeting begins
Overview
Zoom is a common recording target for Tinrec. With the Mac desktop app, you can set Tinrec to start capturing system audio with live transcription during a Zoom meeting, then automatically produce meeting notes and to-dos afterward.
Steps
- Install and sign in to the Tinrec Mac desktop app (macOS 12 or later) and grant system audio recording permission.
- Go to Meeting recording settings, turn on automatic recording, and include Zoom in the automatic recording meeting-app scope.
- Start a Zoom meeting. Tinrec starts recording with live transcription automatically.
- When the meeting ends, stop recording. Notes and speaker summaries are generated automatically.
Note: Tinrec records by capturing Zoom system audio—it does not join the meeting as a meeting bot. Exact auto-trigger conditions follow in-app settings and the official site.
