Stop recording your meeting (Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, or Webex)
Stop or discard an in-progress meeting recording in Tinrec
Overview
When a meeting ends, or you no longer want to keep recording, stop recording in Tinrec. Tinrec captures meeting app system audio through the Mac desktop app, so “removing recording” means stopping audio capture for that meeting.
Steps
- In the Tinrec Mac desktop app (or the interface currently recording), find the active recording.
- Click Stop recording. The system prompts you to confirm.
- After you confirm, the recording is saved and Tinrec automatically generates a transcript, meeting notes, and to-dos.
- If the meeting is still going but you no longer need a record, choose Discard before confirming so this recording is not saved.
Tips / FAQ
Q: Is the meeting still being recorded after I stop?
A: After you stop recording, system audio is no longer captured. The meeting app itself is unaffected and the meeting can continue.
Q: Do I need to stop Zoom / Meet / Teams / Webex separately?
A: Each recording is independent. Stopping one does not affect other sessions.
