Ask AI during live recording
Use Ask AI during Tinrec live recording to find highlights in the ongoing transcript.
Overview
While recording or in an online meeting, you can ask Ask AI anytime. It reads the live transcript produced so far and helps you stay on top of current highlights—for example, “Which topic are we on?” or “Was a budget number mentioned just now?”
Steps
- Start recording (open Record and tap start; microphone permission required)—the live transcript appears as speech continues.
- During recording, open Ask AI for that recording.
- Enter what you want to check—for example, “What has been decided so far?”
- Ask AI answers from the transcript available so far; as recording continues, ask again for an updated summary.
Tips
- Live Ask AI can only use content already transcribed; speech-to-text takes a moment, so the newest words may not be included yet.
- During recording, use Add highlight on key points; after the meeting, pair highlights with Ask AI for efficient review.
- Mac desktop can capture system audio from Zoom, Meet, Teams, Webex, and similar apps, together with live transcript and Ask AI.
