Ask AI overview

Overview

Ask AI is Tinrec’s AI Q&A feature. It chats smartly about your recording and transcript so you can find highlights, summarize conclusions, and extract action items—without replaying the whole recording.

Ask AI works well when you need to:

• After a meeting, quickly review “What decisions were made?”
• From an hour-long class recording, ask “What were the three key points the teacher mentioned?”
• In an interview recording, find “What did the interviewee say about pricing?”

Ask about a single recording, or link multiple audio files for combined answers. Save replies to cards in one tap, or export Word, Excel, PDF, or HTML for filing and sharing.

Steps

1. In Workspace, open any recording with a finished transcript and go to the detail page.
2. Tap the sidebar Ask AI tab to open the AI Q&A panel.
3. Type a question, or tap a recommended template (“Based on your content, we recommend the following templates”).
4. After you get an answer, tap Add to cards to save important replies for later.

Tips

• More specific questions get more useful answers. Turn on Deep thinking for complex ones.
• Shared pages do not support Ask AI yet.
• Answers are model-generated—cross-check with the transcript and treat the transcript as the source of truth for important facts.
