Ask questions with Ask AI
How to ask Ask AI questions in Tinrec, use recommended templates, and save useful answers.
Overview
The fastest way to find answers in a recording is to ask Ask AI. It reads that recording’s transcript and meeting summary and replies based on your question.
Steps
- Open a recording’s detail page and tap the sidebar Ask AI tab.
- Type your question—for example, “What action items came out of this meeting?” or “Who is following up on this project?”
- If you’re unsure what to ask, tap a recommended template (the system shows “Based on your content, we recommend the following templates”) or try the “Try asking AI like this” suggestions.
- Wait for Ask AI to generate an answer; for deeper reasoning, turn on Deep thinking before you ask.
- For useful answers, tap Add to cards to save them for later.
Tips
- More specific questions get more accurate answers. Prefer “Which pricing options were decided?” over “What was this meeting about?”
- Answers are AI-generated and may be inaccurate—see Understanding incorrect information in Ask AI responses.
- Shared pages do not support Ask AI—use it on your own recording’s detail page.
