Audio playback is not working
How to troubleshoot when audio playback does not work
Overview
When reviewing a meeting transcript in Tinrec, you can tap a timestamp in the transcript to jump to and play the matching audio (see Interact with your transcript in this category). If audio will not play, has no sound, or stalls, follow the steps below.
Steps
- Confirm device volume and the browser tab are not muted; raise system and browser volume.
- Check that speakers or headphones are connected; try playing audio on another site to verify output.
- Refresh the page (Ctrl / Cmd + R), wait for the recording to finish loading, then tap a timestamp again.
- Switch networks (for example Wi‑Fi to wired) to avoid stream drops from an unstable connection.
- Clear browser cache or try another browser (latest Chrome / Edge / Safari recommended).
- If web still fails, open the same record in the Tinrec app (iOS / Android / Mac)—app playback is usually more stable.
Tips / FAQ
Q: Tapping a timestamp does nothing?
A: Confirm the recording finished transcribing and the audio file is still in the cloud. Some import sources cannot play back if the original was deleted.
Q: Audio plays but is out of sync with the transcript?
A: Refresh the page or reopen the record; regenerate the meeting summary if needed.
Q: Still not fixed?
A: Contact Tinrec support at official@tinrec.com (reply within 24 hours on business days).
