Tinrec desktop app (Mac / Windows)

Tinrec desktop app (Mac / Windows)

Overview

The Tinrec desktop app lets you record online meetings on your computer with live transcription. Both the Mac and Windows desktop apps are officially available—download from tinrec.com (Mac: .dmg; Windows: installer).

The desktop app’s key strength is capturing system audio from Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex, and other online meeting apps, producing a live transcript during the meeting, then automatically generating meeting notes and to-dos when the meeting ends.

Steps

  1. Go to tinrec.com, download and install the Tinrec desktop app for your OS (Mac: macOS 12 or later; Windows: Windows 10 or later).
  2. Open the Tinrec desktop app and sign in.
  3. Go to the Recording page and click Start recording (first use requires microphone and system audio capture permissions).
  4. Start the online meeting you want to record (Zoom / Meet / Teams / Webex). The desktop app captures meeting system audio and transcribes in real time.
  5. During recording, you can Add marker for key points; the live transcript appears as you speak.
  6. When the meeting ends, click Stop recording, confirm to save, and generate meeting notes, speaker summaries, and to-do lists automatically.
