Quick start (complete guide)
Complete steps from creating an account and finishing your first recording to reviewing the transcript and meeting notes.
Overview
This guide walks you from zero to your first recording, transcript, and meeting notes in a few minutes. New users get 60 minutes of transcription time on signup—no credit card required.
Steps
- Create an account: Open the Tinrec app or the web app at tinrec.com. Sign up and sign in with email (verification code), Google, or Apple.
- Start recording: On the home screen, choose Start recording and allow Tinrec to use the microphone.
- Live transcription: During recording, the live transcript appears as you speak; tap Add marker for key points.
- Finish recording: When you are done, choose Finish. The system processes the recording and generates a transcript.
- Review meeting notes: On the detail page, review the AI meeting notes, to-dos, and speaker summary.
- Copy or share: Tap One-click copy notes to paste into a meeting email, or use Share to create an online viewing link.
Tips / FAQ
- Prefer not to record live? You can also use Upload recording or Web video to import existing audio or video for transcription.
- Multi-device sync: Content on web, app, and iPad syncs automatically.
