Incorrect transcription or low accuracy

Possible causes and ways to improve when Tinrec transcription is incorrect.

Overview

Tinrec transcription accuracy is about 98–99%, but results may be inaccurate in noisy backgrounds, when the microphone is too far away, or when the language setting does not match. Below are common causes and ways to improve.

Common causes and improvements

  1. Language setting mismatch: Recording language does not match the setting. Before recording, manually select the matching language, or use the default Auto detect.
  2. Noisy environment or strong echo: Record in a quiet environment and keep the microphone close to the speaker.
  3. Proper nouns misrecognized: Add names, product names, and terms to Hotwords to improve accuracy (Free: up to 10 hotwords).
  4. Microphone permission or network issues: Confirm the microphone is authorized and the network is stable to avoid interrupted recordings.
