Use Tinrec live transcription (live meeting notes)

Use Tinrec live transcription (live meeting notes)

Overview

Tinrec’s Live transcription feature can transcribe while a meeting is in progress and show the transcript in real time—like live meeting notes. With the Tinrec Mac desktop app, you can also capture system audio from Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex, and similar online meetings for live transcription.

Steps

Method 1: Record online meetings with the Mac desktop app (recommended)

  1. Download and install the Tinrec Mac desktop app (macOS 12 or later), open it, and sign in.
  2. Go to the Recording page and click Start recording (authorize microphone and system audio capture).
  3. Start a Zoom / Meet / Teams / Webex meeting. The desktop app captures system audio and transcribes in real time.
  4. During recording, you can Add marker for key points; the live transcript appears as you speak.
  5. When the meeting ends, stop recording. Meeting notes, speaker summaries, and to-dos are generated automatically.

Method 2: Use Web video to text (for recorded playback)

  1. Click Web video and paste a meeting recording link (for example YouTube, TikTok, or Facebook).
  2. Click Paste and detect. After parsing, Tinrec generates a transcript, AI summary, and chapters.
