Use Tinrec live transcription (live meeting notes)
Overview
Tinrec’s Live transcription feature can transcribe while a meeting is in progress and show the transcript in real time—like live meeting notes. With the Tinrec desktop app (Mac / Windows), you can also capture system audio from Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex, and similar online meetings for live transcription.
Steps
Method 1: Record online meetings with the desktop app (Mac / Windows) (recommended)
- Download and install the Tinrec desktop app (Mac / Windows), open it, and sign in.
- Go to the Recording page and click Start recording (authorize microphone and system audio capture).
- Start a Zoom / Meet / Teams / Webex meeting. The desktop app captures system audio and transcribes in real time.
- During recording, you can Add marker for key points; the live transcript appears as you speak.
- When the meeting ends, stop recording. Meeting notes, speaker summaries, and to-dos are generated automatically.
Method 2: Use Web video to text (for recorded playback)
- Click Web video and paste a meeting recording link (for example YouTube, TikTok, or Facebook).
- Click Paste and detect. After parsing, Tinrec generates a transcript, AI summary, and chapters.
