Meeting type templates

Overview

After recording or transcription finishes, Tinrec automatically generates an AI meeting summary. The Meeting template is one card in that summary—a structured abstract based on the meeting content.

Tinrec does not currently support custom meeting type templates—you cannot create, edit, or apply your own meeting type templates (such as weekly meetings, customer interviews, or project reviews). The system generates the meeting summary and insight cards automatically from the recording content.

What you can do today

To make the meeting summary better match your needs, use these existing features:

1. View the auto-generated meeting template: On the detail page under Meeting summary, open the Meeting template card to see the AI’s structured abstract.
2. Edit insight cards: Edit the full summary, key points, overview, and other card text to add or correct content. See Manage and edit your insights.
3. Use a custom card: Add a Custom (User) card in the summary to write your own abstract or notes.
4. Generate custom content with Ask: If the default summary format does not fit, describe the format you want in Ask and let AI produce it from the transcript. See Generate custom content with Ask.
5. Use hotword management: Add proper nouns to help improve transcription and summary accuracy.

Tips / FAQ

• Can I create custom templates like other tools? Not currently. Tinrec does not yet offer custom meeting type templates; if that changes, it will be announced in the App and on the official website.
• Where does the Meeting template card come from? AI generates it from the recording content—no need to pick or configure a template type manually.
• How do I make the summary match my format? Edit existing cards, add a custom card, or regenerate and adjust; you can also copy the summary and paste it into your own document template.
